What's New Construction has begun (July 2011)for the new Precision Enterprises Engineering Campus.  This building will house the state of the art Engineering Computer Center where all CAD files will be documented, checked for accuracy, and given final approval before starting production, as well as customer re-design or re-engineering.  All foundry and machine shop tooling design will be coordinated from this new location.  Completion date is fourth quarter of 2011.   Precision Enterprises Awarded Medical Contract A southern based medical device manufacturer approached Precision Enterprises with a complex problem.  Their device was intended for use in patients' homes to assist in sleeping.  However, the plastic cover that housed the motor caused harmonic resonance that resulted in noise levels that disturbed the sleep patterns of the patients.  Precision was given strict pricing targets to meet, tight tolerances, and typical medical cosmetic finishes to achieve, all within a very short time frame.  Models were produced, test were run, and pattern equipment was started.  Within a very short time, the client had prototypes and PPAPs.  The approval was given and a short time later the first production run of the new cast aluminum cover was at the customer.  See pictures below and to the right.
